Wow I'm way ahead this year!

I'm usually trying to finish up projects at the last minute:) just the way I seem to work! But this year I have my Halloween treats for my grandkids done a whole month ahead of time!!! I know that that will never happen again, but once I got started on these treats I just couldn't stop! I spent part of Friday get these all made and I think the kids will like them!
The mini Milk cartons are filled with Tootsie rolls, the little bags with the reeses peanut butter cups are made with the packing paper that comes in our Stampin Up orders! I saw someone make these and thought it was such a good Idea to use some of that paper! (Wish I could remember who, but I bounce around to so many web sites I forgot) Then of course the little cello bags are the new ones in the holiday Mini!! Hope These give you a few ideas for the little people in your life!!

Fall is in the air!

Good Saturday morning! Today I'm going to the fair with all 8 of my grandkids!! Woohoo I'm excited, but I did tell them parents are required:) I don't think I could keep up with all of them by myself! I have been having some fun making a few fall projects. I love making little gift boxes and bags so here are a few that I've put together.
This little box is made from the Bitty box and Envelope die, and the Day of Gratitude stamp set. it's not a very big box, but it's so darn cute!
This box is made a little bigger by cutting 2 boxes from the Fancy Favor die. the bottom is made using the full cut of the box, the top you cut out without cutting the bottom flaps to make a top that slides over the top of the box. I then just punched holes in the top and ran some linen thread thru it to tie it shut, then added the cute little take.

I love this little tag! Stamp the thank you on Very Vanilla, then punched with the 1 inch square punch at a angle, then mounted it on another 1 inch punch, then put them both on the small tag punch! And of course added some bling!! Hope you enjoy this ideas, and have a great day!

October 8th

Ever year I try to have a come and play day, this year it will be October 8th. The way I run this is, my house is open for my customers and friends, (the more the merrier) from about 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. I put on a big pot of soup and make a dessert, and everyone brings a dish to share thru out the day. You can come when you can and stay as long as you like. You bring what ever you want to work on, cards , scrapbook pages or whatever. It's alot of fun to craft, chat and eat!
Also being that Christmas will be here soon, I have decide that I will also run a Stamp-a-stack on this day too. You don't have to do them but it is a option if your interested to jump start your Christmas card making! I will have 5 cards to make at the usual fee of 5 for $10, and again you DON'T have to do them if you don't want too!
I will need a idea on how many are attending so I have enough table space for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves, so let me know if you can make it that day, even if for just a short time! And please invite friends to come and play!!

Fair entries!

Ok tried to post through my Stampin Up blog and it didn't work! So I'm back here were I know it works:) So here are the pages I thru together this morning to take in and enter! Yep I said this morning, I have a bad habit of waiting till the last second:)
Wow I'm sitting here with a great big blank on my brain:) love this paper but can't remember the name, and I'm to tired to walk back and get my catty:) But it is in the big catty and features Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral, and a little Lucky Limeade. I really love the newest in colors!
I do know that the paper in this one is retired:( but I was in a hurry, hmm go figure:) so I grabbed it off the retired shelf.
This was the last of the 4 that I made so it is a very simple layout, nothing special. It did use some retired elements from a scrapkit.
This is A page I made from the hunt my husband went on with my son, who is a part of the Wounded Warriors program. They had made arrangements for a hunt in Wyoming in 2009, so my husband and friend took our toy hauler and tents and quads sown and meet the boys who all live in Tennessee.  The papers are from the Well Worn DSP, works great for "manly" pages or cards.
Well hope you enjoyed!

More fall fun!

Just a quick post this morning, then I have to get something done! :) This first card I did a little paper piecing, again it's the new Spice Cake DSP, I just cut 1/2 inch strips and reversed every other piece. The little frame is made with the new Bigz die, Peekaboo frames, in the Holiday mini. Oh can I say how much I love the new in color Pool Party! It's such a pretty blue!
And this is a peek inside the little frame.
Very simple fall card, with Cherry cobbler and Old Olive. Used the Gently Falling set again and the new Cherry Cobbler Quilted ribbon! That's it for now, have to get some work done around here:( If I could just hire a maid I could spend all my time in the craft room! hahaha!

Friday Fun

Even though it's in the 90's here, I'm feeling like fall! lol Fall has always been my favorite time of the year, with the crisp weather and all the fresh produce coming off the farms. of course it means lots of work getting ready for the cold winters, and putting up the produce:) but that's OK I like opening the cupboard to see the foods that I put up, and knowing it's healthy for me! But of course you stopped by to see what crafty things I've been up too! Well being it's Friday, I had the day off and hubby went fishing so I had time to play, and have a few cards to share tonight! This first one is using the Greeting card Kids set out of the catty, It's a great one to watercolor, so I pulled out my watercolor pencils again to color it. Also got to use a little  of the new Frightful Sight DSP. The pictures not real clear but I used the eyelet border punch and The new Simple Scored tool, available in the holiday mini, to make a rosette back for my little girl. Also added some Glass Stampin Glitter around the Cajun Craze circle.

This one is just a very simple little card, using the Frightful Sight DSP. Sometimes I just like a very easy quick card.
Well I wanted to do some fall cards, that weren't Halloween, so this was the first one, second one is still on my desk unfinished, the Dsp is from the new Holiday mini, and so is the stamp set. The DSP is called Spice Cake and it is beautiful!! The stamp set is Gently Falling and it's a 2 step stamp set, and even though it's hard to see in the pictures I did the rock and roll technique to give the leaves more color. Well that's it for tonight hope you saw something you like, and have a great weekend!

Open Sea!

I was so excited to see the update the other day from Stampin Up that they decided to carry this set over from the summer Mini! I love boats and I think this set is great for "man' cards. It's hard to see in the picture (you can click on it to enlarge) but I used the new striped embossing folder on the whisper white panel.

This card features a stamp from the new holiday mini, I stamped the image in black stazon, then using the water color pencils I water colored the image.
And here is the inside of the card, a tag and some brads makes it a little more special:)
Last but not least, for tonight anyway, this is the card my daughter and I did for her workshop a couple weeks ago. She had some newbies and they loved it, and it was simple enough not to overwhelm them. One of the gals that night has hired my daughter to make cards for her the last couple years, but I think we made her into a stamper!! I hope you enjoyed these and have a great evening!!

Busy August!

Well if you all wondered were I disappeared to, the month of august was a very busy month around here! We had a new granddaughter show up 3 weeks early, and even though she was in a rush to make her appearance she was perfect in every way! Then we had the last of the 5 kids (one of our daughters) get married on the 27th!! And of course the only one that doesn't live here came home for the event, and him and his wife stayed for a week and a half! Love my family to death, but this Nana needs to get back into her routine!

So this last weekend in between family events I finally did some serious card making!! Woohoo, how I missed playing in my craft room! So I have a few cards to share with you finally!
This first one is just a very simple card
I made for someone that just lost a family member.
I saw one of this little stick horses that Jackie Topia made using the new stocking punch, so being horse crazy I just had to make one my self! I think he's so cute and the colors would make a nice little boy card!
I just had to make something with this new stamp out of the big catty, and play with the new score tool to add some fun embossing!

Oh this picture didn't turn out very good, and of course I already gave it away:( This was made with the new Well worn DSP and even though you can't see it I did some hand sewing on this one.
Here is another one using the new stocking punch, and again I saw this somewhere and had to make it! stamped the stockings, then punched them out and trimmed them down to make baby booties! Well that's it for tonight I'll add the rest tomorrow! Have a great evening!
